which cable tranny should i use for a b18a/b swap? its not gonna be turbo or anything. i would prefer it to have lsd too.

 

if you want a lsd tranny, get the ys1 lsd, but if you want a good short non lsd tranny, i reccomend the s1 tranny~! i had the s1 tranny on my b16, and its a nite and day difference from my y1, y1 tranny's suck and are too long imo

 

i'd say go with the ys1. i had that tranny in my b16 89 hatchback and i absolutely loved it. it was heaven. the gears are short and always keep you in vtec

 

i think i'll look for a ys1 but i did notice that the s1/j1 has the same gear ratios as some itr's (96-97), ctr's, and sir's (5th & 6th gen). so if i cant find a ys1 i'll get s1/j1

 

s1/j1 or the ys1, if you want the lsd get the ys1
