I had posted yesterday asking about Red Recaros. I decided to start a new thread and repeat my question because of a mistake i made. I was told that there were red rear seats available in Japan, only to find out that this isn't so. I spoke with a local shop owner who knows someone who is selling a set of mint condition red JDM Recaros along with CDM red rear seats(not red JDM rears like the guy thought they were, since they don't exist). The guy wanted $2400CDN, but i'm trying to get them for $1900 CDN, which works out to about $1400 US, this price will include shipping. I'm just wondering if you guys think this is a good deal if he'll go for it?

 

I sold my JDM ITR Fronts for $900 used (5 cash 4 labor)....Good condition too

 

if he goes 4 $1900 i think its a pretty good deal. i say $2200-$2500 is a fair deal where no one gets ripped off.

my friends got them for 1500cdn in mint condition, and talk to penpen she is a member here also a member in torontointegras.com, last time i saw her host a group buy for 1200cdn (not too sure but no more than 1400) for a pair jdm front and normally red rear seats are about 200-300 i'd say try ask for 1600cdn

Doesn't sound any more expensive than what you're proposing. These are supposedly mint(i was told they are out of a former show car) so for $1500 for fronts and, assuming i can find someone to sell me red rears, another $300 for those, which adds up to $1800, then i have to pay to ship to Edmonton. If i can get this guy to go for it i'll get them, maybe even if i gotta go $2000. I should know tomorrow. I wasn't planning on getting recaros for a few years, but i have the money as long as i sell my old interior to replace some of the savings i'll have to use to buy them. Basically i have a number of thing i wanna buy and will buy them if i have the money available and a good deal comes up.

 

as long as theyre in good condition, its definetly a good deal.

They are pretty bling bling but I almost rather have the OEM black ones.

yeah they are nice... but i prefer the oem black ones as well

 

Good price considering I am selling my set of red and blacks for $1200 not including shipping AND not including the rear CDN seats. Jump on that deal if he bites.

Turns out it was gonna cost me $2400 Canadian. The guy i was going through told me the owner didn't want to budge from what he was asking, so with the middleman's cut it would be $2400, don't ask me what the middleman's cut was gonna be cause i don't know. So i will spend my elsewhere cause $2400 isn't even close to a good deal in my opinion. I think i'll go with my original plan for this summer of header/hf cat/ cam gears and VAFC or Hondata.

 

id get those red rear ones if i had a fbp itr b/c a. i love the red and black combo.

2400 ouch that's really steep, but it depends how much those CDM rear reds are worth to you... front jdm reds normally go for cheaper than blacks too.

pricing for them now that i see is 1200-1400 and UP depending on condition. if you want a full set i can get jdm reds (or blacks) with black rears for 1500-ish. (CDN) the reds need to be cleaned but i told them to wrap the seats for me in plastic for the next shipment... otherwise i've seen places that'll clean them for you like new for 30 bucks a pop.

The only reason i was gonna buy the Recaros now was because it would've been a really good deal, plus i could still get alot for my USDM front and rear seats, sorry CDM - same thing. I was planning to do more performance stuff and getting the Recaros and JDM SRS steering wheel after i had done most of the performance stuff. I'm either gonna get a header and hf cat, DC JDM 4-1 or T1R Response, and cam gears STR, and maybe a chipped ECU from maybe Kenjie as an interim step to Hondata s200. Or i may go for brake pads and stainless lines, the SRS wheel, and a set of Rotas, cause i'm gonna need 2 sets of wheels in the future. The Recaros can wait unless i find a deal i can't refuse before i spend the money i have saved up on this other stuff. Most important is getting out to as many HPDE's and auto-x's as possible this summer.

I got my Front recaros from zerozerotyper a while back for $1475... excellent condition other than a small cigerette burn...
