What's the deal with the S2K antenna, why does everyone seem to want it? What makes it so unique? Thanks!

If any of you are interested, I am selling a bolt-on S2K/DC2 antenna conversion kit for $35 shipped. I too used Trey's instructions to make myself one. Yet, on a few boards it seemed that a lot of guys were too lazy to make their own and kept asking if Trey was going to offer a kit. I discussed it with Trey and he has authorized me sell them. I am putting the first 10 in the mail tomorrow and already have orders for 4 more. If any of you want one, let me know!

Will~ Thanks for the pic! What's up with CMP?

Jason~ I'll add you to the list. You have an IM about payment method.

Just finished bagging the first 9 kits! D*ammit...can't find the 10th antenna. I'm making another order tomorrow morning. If everything goes well, I can probably ship within 12-14 days. This is just in my spare time remember!

I didn't include earlier, but the kit includes an OE Honda S2K antenna, base unit, coax plug wire, instructions, and updated photo link.

PS: Special thanks go to Trey (Carlex) and Import Specialists!

How good does the S2000 antennae work compared to stock? How is your AM reception? I disconnected my antenna power connection to my deck cause I hated it going up and down.

Yes, I sometimes listen to AM...

Can't say I've had any problem with my 'standard' antenna @ 200+ km/h (~124 mph) and there have been many times!

I have noticed decreased reception ability overall with the antenna, especially at longer ranges.

Stephen~

I am assuming you made your own? If so, how long is your threaded mast? I initially made mine only about 2-3" long. I eventually tried a longer mast, 6", and reception is just as good as my OE retractable. In fact, I usually park in the bottom of my parking deck at work. I'm surrounded my concrete on 3 sides, so reception is horrible. My OE faded out very bad and was usually just static, but the 6" S2K antenna retains marginal listening qualities. If you have a long mast and still have problems, try atttaching a home stero antenna(cord-type) and hide it behind the plastic. That should help quite a bit!

As for the AM station question....can't say that I ever listen to AM. Sorry!

Do they fit PERFECTLY? I saw another guy who's selling them for less, without the antenna tho, but with easy detailed manual that comes with it.

All I will be doing is just take off antenna, put in new antenna right? No drilling holes, shaving, cutting, trimming stuff? Just screw on...right?

If so email me at hobbes225@hotmail.com
I'm more than interested!!!!!

I saw that "deal" too...but the antenna cost between $22-25 from the dealer unless you can get a deal yourself. That puts it right back at the same price!

Yes, the kit fits perfect. It utilizes your OE rubber antenna support and the OE S2K antenna. While everything inside the car isn't OE, the fit is tight and leak-proof.

I can only speak for what I offer and it is truly a bolt-on affair. You have to attach the coax wire, because it won't fit in the envelope attached. Outside of that, it is just removing your OE antenna and a slight adjustment of the riser washer for a snug fit. That is it! No holes, no cutting, just remove, insert, adjust, and button it back up! I have a 2 page instructional flyer and a link to 20 color pics of the install process.

Check your mail.

uhm..I never received an email regarding the s2k antennas.

I want one! my email is below once again.

hobbes225@hotmail.com

Tell me how and to whom the payment goes to. I most likely will be paying with money order, or paypal.

35 bucks includes EVERYTHING needed, right?

any body know where to get a plug to plug up the hole for the antenna? I want to take mine out but I don't know what to use to plug up the hole temporarily until I have the time/cash to get it filled in...also, if anyone has/knows of a plug to remove the rear windshield squirter, I could use one there too...thanks
