Do I spy mugen front and rear bumpers on the red s2k in the last pics? I don't think I've ever seen those on a car before, just the ad's.

Yes... It was a privately owned car, that was used as a Mugen prototype car. It had every part Mugen ever imported to the US for an S2K. Or at least that is the story I was told. At the end of the day, he hit a wall with it. These pics are not mine, because I left before it happened... Warning, the pics you are about to see may be disturbing to some viewers:

Well, I left before it happened, but half way through the day they decided to run the track backwards... The S2k lost it, and hit a wall. Exactly how it all unfolded, I am not sure.

 

Does insurance cover for that or what?

I am not 100% sure, but I believe most insurance companies (if any) do not cover stuff that happens on the track.
