Do you ever feel you are getting too old for your R?
Just curious. A lot of the people on H/T were playing with Tickle-me-Elmos just the other day. I feel like the old dude that goes to clubs trying to pick up college freshmen.
No. If I ever feel too old for my R, just shoot me.
Besides, it's so much fun watching the faces of young folks when they see the yellow R, and then they see the guy driving it! I'm sure they think it's wasted on the old guy (unless I'm on the track at the time).

Haha ... and put me out of my misery. Well said Ken!
I'm not even too old for my 1st gen CRXs.

and how old is "too old for the R" supposed to be?
at the 2002 ITR Expo at Gingerman there was actually one ITR owner older than Ken (nsxtasy). The guy was (probably) much older than Grandpa George too.

Yea, Ken is always trying to drag race me around Chicago. WTF?
I have no plans of getting rid of my R, but even if I was twice my age, I'd still enjoy it and enjoy the looks on the local stunnas' faces.

Yea, I think he was in his late 60s or something like that. Really cool guy, see him around the autox here.
No way I am ever selling my R.

That's awesome and I strongly think that when I'm 48 I'll be driving a four cylinder import (unless domestic auto technology catches up).
I'm 25 and I hear about these 17-18 year old guys driving R's and wondering how they get their hands on them (they aren't exactly cheap). Then again more power to them. If you think you are too old for your Japanese four banger, go to an autocross. It's incredible to see guys your father's age slinging around Miatas, WRX's, Integras, MG's, CRX's, & so on...
There is no age limit when it comes to cars.

Not any more. used Rs (like mine
) aren't that expensive when compared to similar cars so it isn't too hard for a teenager to get one, especially with a little help from the parents.

That's true. When I go to car shows, I find that I am older than 90% of the crowd. when I go to the racetrack, I find myself in the bottom 10% in age.

Admittedly, once in awhile, I do wish that I didn't have such a "boy racer" car. But every time I drive it, it reminds me why I got the damned thing.
Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional.
That's my personal mantra.

I'll be 29 in January. Sometimes I feel my Type-R is too young for me. At the same time, I love driving it, I love not having a car payment, and I cant think of anything I would trade for.
37 and a National Service Manager for Major Japanese Manufacturer. While parked next to all the Businessmen's sedan in the company lot, I have the status of refusing to grow up!

I received my ITR 4 months before I graduated from high school (2001). My mother had a problem with me driving her car so my dad went to the Acura dealership and solved her problem.

(even though I have only been to 2 but im getting pretty good
