hey guys im running with no muffler cuz my exhaust got stolen about 2 weeks ago. anyways, the heat from the cat is pointed directly at my rear axle and some plastic or possibly metal(i think its plastic) has melted off of the rear axle. what is this plastic/metal for and should i get it replaced? thanks in advance

The plastic is not there just for "fun." It serves a purpose. I can't link the thread here, so i'll just IM it to you.
