how reliable is CTR
hi there
i am wondering i have now a civic ek4 from 98 and i am planning to buy a CTR from the 7 th gen. but i am hearing stories that the new k20 engine has problems with the crankshafts and the connecting rods are these true stories or is it just bullshit. overall how reliable is the civic type R . I know it depens on your driving style...

thats a good guestion, All I can say is we don't get the CT here in the USA, but all the other engines that Honda has are rock steady of you ask me. They have never really lacked build quality....I mean if a stock blocked (old design) b16 turbo drag car can run 28-lbs of boost with only a deck insert and then stronger pistons and rods...I don't think you have anything to worry about. Besides if you get the CTR and do not like it, Sell it on E-bay in the US...Could possibly make yourself a little $$$. lol...just kidding.
