Default How do you tell the difference between driver side and passenger side axle for Type S?

I have one complete axle and just the inboard joint casing for the other. How do you know which one is driver side and which one is passenger?

not really sure, some parts are common between the two sides, but the passenger side has an extra half-shaft since it is longer... see if this helps any

Actually I figured it out....

The inboard joint on the passenger side is female because of the halfshaft, but the driver side axle has male fitting to be directly inserted into the tranny.
