I have the 96-97 4-2-1 itr header with 2.5 in collector on my gsr but i dont really know much about this header. Its not a desired as the 4-1 98+ what i want to know if it benefits power or should i just buy an aftermarket one does any else have this header on their car thanks.

 

i had one and its an ok header i would personally use it ovoer a plain dc extra

 

i paid 70 bux for it so i think it was a good deal.

I have heard mixed reviews on it. The general answer I got was that it was not that great.

I looked into it when I was researching a header that makes good power, but does not require notching the x-member on a DA.

I had the Comptech ITR TIG welded header, which according to the great header test makes more torque, and the same peak HP as the 98+ JDM ITR. I just replaced it with an AN-R compact header.

I suppose for $70 it is probably a good deal. If you ever want to sell it, throw it up for sale at g2ic.com, I am sure you will get more than $70 for it there.
