Default K & N Filter Question

There's no specific model listed for the Type-R, just one for 94-2001 Integra all. It's $65. My question is, would this fit an ITR, or would you need modifications to make it fit? Why wouldn't K&N come up with a filter for the ITR?

They do have an ITR specific filter now, it's new. Don't know the part # though...

Can't say I've look recently, but last year there certainly wasn't one available (here in Australia @ least). So I made my own aluminium adaptor up, using the black fitted molding (that slots into the back of the box)....see pics below -

So don't think you have to use the K&N one, particularly if it more expensive than others!

Comptech has made them for YEARS (while you're at it, get the Icebox, worth every penny):

Spoon also sells a very similar one. I don't know why we have to go through this every week.

I have never been a fan of the DIY filter setup when someone already makes one that drops right in, but Aussie_ITR-239 has the best one I've ever seen. If I were to do it, that is how I would do it. Good job

I'd personally go for a HKS. K&N doesn't show you any performance improvement while HKS does. And it sounds wicked :>

Thanks FBP_1171....I appreciate the

It certainly saved me a lot of hassle and $$$ of tracking down a suitable after-market kit; as the Australian market for Honda performance parts (in particularly those for ITRs), is not as big as you guys get in the States!
