anyone recommend either one? i am going to clay my car with the mothers kit....was planning to use meguires 3 step system....step 1 paint cleaner, step 2 polish...but planning to use mothers carnauba wax instead of meguries step 3 canuaba wax.....any opinions....sorry for all the mis spelling....didn't feel like hitting my backspace key

 

Why? Whats so special about Mother's wax over Meguairs. They say they're wax is made of pure Carnuba if it was it would be too hard to use. Do you really have to use the Meguiars 3rd step. You should use Meguiar's Hi-Tech Wax instead. It last longer than the step 3. Iv'e been using Meguairs for a while and it's never done me wrong.

use Meguiar's steps 1 and 2, and finish it off with Meguiar's gold class

 

i would use some poorboy's products or some clearkote products. much higher quality.

 

Yeah what's the big deal about using Mothers wax over Meguiars? I highly doubt you'll notice any difference. Choose which ever you like best and be done.

By the way, which 2 step series are you using from Meguiars? If its the Deep Crystal series (maroon bottles) toss'em and go with the Mirror Glaze (beige bottles) instead. More potent and gives better results.

is this "true" [to you..] for all 3 steps? Or do you use step 1/3 of the maroon ones and step 2 of the beidge?

 

i prefer the mother's clay and 3 stage products.

meguiars makes a good wax (goldclass) and their three stage isnt shabby either... but i love the bubble gum scent from mothers

meguiars makes the worst clay bar tho... hands down. blahhhh!
