Default Thermal R&D or Tanabe Med. Racing?

I've boiled it down to these two exhausts. Regardless of the different in price which one would you guys consider better?
The hard part is figuring out which sounds better. I like them both but which one do you all think is "meaner"?

Once i figure this out I'm buying. I look forward to a new exhaust mmmmmm!

It depends on what you want more, the Tanabe will be louder and zippier sounding, as where the Thermal will be thicker and quieter. I think the're both great products, but I would personally go with the Thermal. A friend had one on his 92 hatch with b18c swap and it rocked. Nice and mellow but deep under throttle. On the other hand, the Tanabe on a high compression lsvtec at 8500 is pretty intense, and no one will forget who you are...hope this helps you in your decision.

have you looked into the rs*r gt2 ...i heard good things and that it sound nice also ...im thinkin about the rs*r for my DA but im also thinking about the tanabe SRM ...but i think a custom 2.5" with a apexi N1 although considerably louder will be better once im all said n done with my motor ...but i say check out the rs*r also...

It is too unfortunate the Thermal only comes in Classic for 2nd gen's. Has that big *** canister that I had removed in the first place (stock). Is it even straight through?

And about the Tanabe. Does the resonator have scales or is it perferated? Don't want nothing messing with the flow of that expensive system hehe. I think I've decided to go with the Tanabe. Although loud, I think the gains will prove me to like it regardless. I've checked out the RS*R. I thought that the whole "no flanges" and that insert fitment as well as the springs holding it together was a bit iffy. I don't want to be checking the springs every month or anything like that. Haven't even heard what it sounds like yet though.

I'll do a little more research and decide for sure. My car is getting a bunch of stuff for Christmas.

I have the thermal on my 91 teg with a b16 and love it!! Nice and quiet until the higher rpm's then it screams. My buddy has a tanabe on his built gsr and the damn thing sounds like a dirt bike!!lol Plus the thermal isnt a big *** canister, kind of a stock look to it. If I had to do it over again I would buy the thermal for sure!!

Man you guys make it hard haha. Lots of good info though. The thing I didn't like about the Thermal was the canister. But is it straight through? I saw that for the 3rd gen Integra's it is a small canister - straight through instead of the big one that looks like a stock 2nd gen. Wish they had that for mine.

Tanabe, sounds good, looks good, and very well made.

Only reason I could see for getting a thermal is if you want a premade 3" exhaust for turbo.

I can't stand the thermal canister.

My Tanabe Racing medallion. Full stainless steel.

Damn that IS very nice! Glad I chose it. The canister is frickin' huge too haha. Awsome!

Just curious but how much did you buy it for? And is it new?

Now I'm just jealous haha. Would it be wise to get it direct from Tanabe? Or is there some corner store (online) I should go to? Looking to get it for less than their $660 but if I can't oh well.

The one I'm getting is 2.25". As far as I know they are all like that until you get up to bigger applications like the Acura TL's, CL's and stuff.

That is cool though. What is the MSD Digital 6? It makes....fireballs?
