Default carb?!

Hey all I recieved I ticket for my exhaust the other night, an was wondering if anyone had the papers/carb#'s for the apexi n1 exhaust. Thank in advance.

Sorry but I don't think the Apexi N1 is carb. I have one and I wish it did have a carb# on it If anyone really do have it. I would like information thanks.

so what should I do, just take my apexi off and put stock on? If I do this then can I put the apexi back on?

It's a bullshit ticket. The cops have no real testing for mufflers and the noise they make to be able to give an actual decibel reading. So I say fight it in court. And look on the http://www.apexi-usa.com/documentation.asp site and look at the documentation section and read what they have on the subject of exhaust. Then print it out and bring it with you to court. Also get the latest issue of Sport Compact Car (WRX's on front page) and read the section/article where they test exhuasts using the guidelines outlined by the police. Only one was over 95 decibels, it came in at 95.5 decibels. Not sure which one it was though.

Maybe you can email Apexi re: CARB papers.

yeah on the ticket all it says is "modified exhaust" under the speeding part.

I don' t know if I am missing something here... but CARB has nothing to do with exhaust db. All catback exhaust are CARB legal. You can run no exhaust after the cat and pass smog. Modified exhaust is a different issue though

There is new legislation in California for this stuff fortunately. Gee3 already covered this.
