i just baught a head off of a friend that is ported and polished, full valve train, and stage 3 turbo cams. does this mean that you have to run turbo or will the cams run effectively with a high compression motor? i need some help with what to do? i dont know whether to go the nitrous route or the n.a route , i'll never have enough money for a turbo kit so that is out of the question. thanks

 

if you can verify that those are indeed cams meant for a turbo, you will need to invest in some n/a cams. turbo is meant for low compression and n/a is meant for high compression.

 

Hey, i would definetly invest in some new cams, that are meant for N/A applications, like stated above, turbo is low compression, and N/A is high compression...if it has turbo cams, id check what else is in it, you may have to replace more than cams...by the way, look at the crower 403 or 404's!

keep it and custom build a sick *** turbo kit. that way u wont have to get other cams n such.

lol yeah, spend $3000 on a turbo kit or get money by trading someone who needs your turbo cams for his stockers and some money. get some JUN cams. btw you'll prolly lose power using those cuz the lobes are designed to give more exhaust flow to spool big turbos.
