I don't have a home garage, so I just park it on my driveway and if it's a nice relatively warm day(or not snowing) I'll just put some car wash soap into a bucket of water, and I'll then proceed to go wash it outside.
Saves me time and money then going to a car wash and paying $9.00 bucks per wash.

I just use a wet sponge, and try the best I can
But if your careful enough you can use a hose.. just damper it with your finger....

yeap, sometimes it takes two or three buckets of water to get the soap off, but it beats going to the car wash

Those are pretty good, but once again, to do a decent wash and get the sale/dirt off your car, you need to bust out $10.00

what's the difference between summer and winter? maybe a little colder out? just wait for a day that's warm...or when the sun's out. i usually use a warm bucket of water (fill up inside) w/ simple green in it. that way my hands don't freeze off when i'm scrubbing it.
i gotta wash my car so bad. can't wait to do it this weekend. i'm just picturing the mag chloride eating through every part of it right now.

i go to the quarter car washer
pay 1.50 and soap then rinse
then go home park her in the garage and dry with towel
then wax her up
or in the summer
get a bucket of warm water with soap
wipe it down
and towel dry after
then wax
both work good for me

here's some pics of my nasty *** car
the pics dont do the dirt justice
anyway, it's usually around 5-10 degrees around here (F), so it's too cold to use a hose or anything.. and the bucket is a bitch, cuz i gotta keep refilling it... anyone else have any other suggestions???

Fill a bucket with water from inside, and pour all over the car. Repeat until the whole car is wet. Refill bucket, add soap and was as normal. Rinse bucket, refill with water and repeat step one until all the soap is gone. Dry as necessary.
Sure it sucks, but it won't scratch your car.
Or look around for a self car wash in your area, and bring your own supplies.
