i'm still trying to figure out how it's chipped. Is there a removeable chip? Don't mean to sound like a retard, but it's a legitimate question. right?

oh so you have to desoldier them. it's easy to do, you jsut need a soldier gun and a soldier suckker. i thought there was an actual plug that you remove them from. that would be cool. i use to have a spoon sport ecu for my b16 hatchback. didn't want to break the seal to check it out though, thinking about gettin a spoon for my h22, but i don't know if they make them. i really need to go with a piggyback though. i've been hearing good things about the ems, i plan on building the block and turbo charging it.

If you don't know how to solder don't try to do it yourself. You need a special solder attatchment depending on what kind of IC it is and solder paste. Trust I'm an electronic engineer. If you **** it up you'll run the risk of jacking up your whole ECU.
