I believe they are the same. My '99 GSR looked exactly like my '99 Jspec R IACV.

aight thanks...what had happened was that the plastic plug on the lower back of the idle air control valve was cracked and the connector didnt want to plug in...but i messed around with it for awhile and it finally snapped in...im gonna zip tie it to make sure it doesnt come off 
cause its just two prongs inside that need to maintain contact.
