quick question
Well it does depend on the condition of the motor and who is interested but if you break it down.....
Motor about $250
Tranny about $125
Axles about $75
ECU about $45
Linkage about $25
Harness about $100
So right there your looking at about $620 now buying it all together of course you usally get a better deal but then again sometimes buying it seperate can better also sicne you cna find a cheap ECU here cheap linkage there and so on. I mean these prices are all aprox. and also depends on there age and condition of course I mean if the motor has like 300k on it and smokes like a bitch expect like $50 bucks...lol.same goes for all the other parts as well axles bad cheaper, tranny old or has grinds cheaper and so on and so forth...
Well to make this long *** post a bit shorter I would say in-between $400-$700 depending on a bunch of different variables... But average say about $500-$550 seems about right.

Honestly...try and find a block that burns oil.....the a6 is everywhere....heck around here some are beeing sold for 20$ us.
Get a blown one for cheap and rebuild it. Better off that way...you get a "new" engine and it wont cost much much more.
