my car has a b16 in it was running fine until sunday afternoon I went out to start it and it idled fine for about 20-30 sec then completely shut down. It will turn over fine just won't start. so I went in this oder of what I replaced Cap, Rotor, spark plugs, igniter, wires, coil, and it still won't start cause i'm not getting spark.
tell me what it could be I'm thinking my ecu.

how do I read trouble codes???

could the Ecu be telling the motor not to start because something else is wrong??

please help I've wasted like 200 bucks and i'm sick of riding the bus. thanx

Usually when that happens it is the igniter inside the distributor that needs to be replaced or check the ground wire that attaches to the thermostat housing.

pull up the carpet on the pass side .. put the car in acc. and count the number of times the light blinks .. one long blink is 10 one short is one. tell us how many blinks you get.

 

Try the main relay under the dash, it usually doesnt control spark, it controls fuel among other thing but i would check any ways

 

it has to be in the distributor...check the ignitor and Ignition Control Module...if it is not that...the ecu is fried amigo...
