very vague question. depends on the user's taste. some like more harsher tweeters, while others like smoother tweeters. some are willing to spend $500, others are willing to spend $100. some wants 4", others wants 6.5". etc..

It really depends on what you listen to, how much you are willing to spend, what kind of power you will be running to the speakers, as well as where the speakers are mounted in the car. Mounting plays a huge role. Not to mention will you be running an equalizer?
If running an equalizer you can get a way with a lower priced speaker and get okay sound from it.
I'm running a set of Focal Utopia 165W, with an Audio Control EQS and a Boston GT-42 bi amping the speaker.
A friend of mine is running a set of Boston Acoustic Z 6's with a Boston Acoustics GT-42, and an Audio Control EQX ( i think that is the model, It is the digital one). His speakers sound better because they are made to run at 3 ohms, instead of 4 ohms and his placement is better in his 1992 Swift GTI.
But i think Focal and Boston are ones of the best. I suggest trying to go to an IASCA event and see what people are running. Most will be using Focal (I'm thinking about 40%) and the rest of the people will be spliting the major brands such as Boston ACoustics, Image Dynamics, Diamond Audio, Rainbow etc.

This statement makes ZERO sense and the nominal impedance of the driver has nothing to do with overall SQ - people could actually make the argument that as impedance drops (numerically), SQ drops - I don't buy it, that's why over half the drivers in my car are 2 ohm
The only real benefit to a lower impedance driver is the result of more power. But if you were running a JL Slash series amplifier - you'd realize that inherently, there is no difference between a 2 or 4 ohm set...

Thumps !! best speakers all around.
Your question is to vague. This is like asking what's the best peanut butter? IMO Adams.

If someone says this the they are almost as clueless as the person who says SQ goes up when impedence goes down. It al depends on how the amplifier was made. Was it designed for low impedence or high impedence. If an amplifier is to drive a 2 ohm load then the output impedence of the amplifier has to be lower then the load. It is much harder to design a amplifier to drive low impedence loads than it is to drive higher impedence loads.

To some Impedence does matter and to some it does not. At the lower impedence you run more current and it is believed that at the high current sq is sacrificed. Home stuff runs at 8 ohm, car generally runs at 4 ohm.
To say 3 ohm sounds better then 4 ohm is stupid.
When it changes from mono to stereo, then there is a huge difference.
Ideally at the lower current it would sound better. In my experience the higher impedence is better.
I will say for now it is subjective.
As for your original question for the best speaker.
Once again subjective and also limited ot how much you want to pay.
Tell us how much you want to pay and we will tell you what you can afford.

Impedance makes no difference to sq. If we had 120 volts in our cars we would have 8 ohm speakers also. And costs would be cheaper
It is easy to make a high voltage amp.

Give me an example. Anything below 1% is not worth noting in a noisy car also.
