I read this and then wondered what was so odd about the engine bay.

Then I saw the picture and did a double take also.

Yet, somehow the thought of having a valve cover with backwards lettering is enthralling. Hell, I'd buy one (assuming the stunna's didn't discover them first).

I asked a friend who lives in richmond about this car - the owner went to alot of 'import drag' nights at VMP (virginia motorsports park) and the car had been hit hard in the rear 1/4 panel at some point. I realize this is second hand info, but he spoke with 2 guys that knew the seller (who is not the one doing the posting) and they verified that the name, email address and phone #'s matched up with the car.

However the poster of the thread (i had contacted him before, there was a thread on the dragva.com forums) denied any such accidents and said that we must have the wrong car (like it was one of the other 20 '97 ITRs in richmond with the same exhaust/sticker/etc).

So between lots of drag racing and an accident to the unibody, i wouldnt pay anywhere close "market value" for something like this.
