I just read your other thread, sorry about your loss
I think the body shop had something to do with it, maybe not the owner, but maybe an employee tipped off one of thier friends and they left the car outside on purpose. Hard to point fingers without evidence though. I mean they may have not even known what it was and said "ahh well leave the integra outside" and some random thieves saw it who knows.

the owner fired the night guy the next day for this. that fool worked on my other car before too. can't point any fingers without evidence. i thought he was koo, but i guess, money or motor can do many extras for their cars. no way it could of been random, how can you steal it within an hour? the guy parked it outside at around 12, the car was gone at 1 when he left.

The shop owner still has the keys, unless the guy made a copy. Hard to find a locksmith open at that time of night. Still could've been an inside job.
Ivan, sincerest regrets. However, at least they found it fast and you can get some closure as soon as possible from the Body Shop/Body Shop Insurance/Your insurance. Good luck again.

did i mention that the shop still has the keys? i had the car there for about a week, fellow H-T member saw the car around 6PM the day before so it was gone like in another 6-7 hours after that. the thing is, the car was parked inside, then the guy moved it out to do some **** and next thing, the garage opens and the car is gone. how so fast? even a thief would have to scope the place out first if it has cameras or whatever and they must have a key if they did drive it off.
UPDATE: 3:00PM Car cannot be released until the cops get a full investigation on the car for fingerprints and what not. I'll be able to release the car tomorrow and the body shop will tow. Again, the owner will be fully responsible for the loss. He is unsure and questioning himself if it was an inside thing too. He's gonna get some detective to find out. Thanks guys...my R is gone, i don't know if i can still post here coz i ain't got nothing to do at work, plus i joined the site coz i bought an R....anyway thanks for your condolences (did i spell it right)

Yes, indeed.
Yes, indeed.
PLUS, the only way he can start the car is if they get the key from the dealer coz of the 2000 up has the immobilizer...correct me if i'm wrong...coz i had key made at home depot and it only cranked, didn't start, threw that **** away...
WHAT VALUE DO YOU THINK MY CAR HAS?
WELL IT HAD:
Cams, Aem Gears, AEM CAI, AEM FPR & Fuel Rail, VAFC, Thermal R&D catback, ALL DYNO TUNED
Tuned so that 2nd,3rd,4th Gear Pulls like crazy, downshifting on this thing is so scary sometimes...
The rest is stock

It depends on the method of the thief. It's common to tow away an R so that you don't have to start it. Also it's possible that a well informed thief has access to an ECU with the immobilizer removed.
