new to the s2k world, and i am wondering what years there have been s2k's and what motors came in them. all i know is that they are inline 4s, and have 6speed trannies.

search revealed nothing, and i know you guys can give me a quick easy answer, thanks

 

Been out since year 2000. Sometimes called MY00 thru MY04 now. (MY = Model Year).

Initially they came with F20C's. 2.0L inline 4 cylinders. Now they are slightly stroked at 2.2L everything else being just about the same with a slightly lower redline and some exterior and interior changes.

6-speed manual transmissions for all models.

FYI- you can get a good number of interior options. I really like my red interior in the 2000 model. Red seats, red carpeting, and red door inserts. Other red interior models have a red dash and such, which I think is over kill. The 04 models came with red and black seats, which I think looks gorgeous. Also, the 04 models have about 10 more ft/lbs of torque, same hp, with an 8k redline. They also have suspension improvements which seem to have payed off well. SCC noted that when driving it, it seemed much more planted than previous models they had driven.
