Universal Mufflers
Does anyone know where to get a good deal on an Apexi N1 universal muffler, or anything else of the same quality/design (im hoping to get one for around $120ish), that would be greatl......im goona go w/ a custom system......
Your NOT going to be able to get a brand new Apex'i N1 muffler for 120ish. Although there are some other companies that make a look alike muffler that would be in your price range.

unless you live in socal, apex'i garage sales(even tho' it's still expensive as ***** trucker) they give those away 80mm for 89 and 110 for the turbo spec N1
go look for Magnaflow's universal series, they are very good quality stuffs not to mention 30+ different style and constuction.

You could try ebay, but the only problem with that is that the people list it as an Apexi N1, but when you get it in the mail you realize that you got jipped, and the company gave you a knock off brand of their Apexi N1 "style." Just my .02 cents.

a generic N1 style muffler wil not be anywhere near as nice as a real Apexi N1.
anyways don't waste your time with custom crap, get a full catback. you'll pay more now, but you'll much happier down the road.

Not actually true, i know ive seen our custom piping out dyno several other "top" brand catbacks.. not to mention it was cheaper.. cant say it for every car or everyone, but i wouldnt 'assume' to that answer right away. i know 100+ people who had other 'top name' system and gotten off them for custom setups.

i would believe that for most cars with just I/H/E type mods that a name brand catback will be much better than your average custom setup. the problem is quality of work with custom setups varies, whereas a name brand catback should all be equal. certain setups demand custom like turbo setups, but for most people on here a name brand catback is the way to go.

well.....im trying to keep my options open....right now custom seems to be the best bet....unless anyone knows of a good name brand N1 style system for under 500.....i was gonna get one from Espelir for $470...but that deal fell through(there usually $590). it seems very few comapnies make an N1 style for accords....the muffler style isnt everything, but i like single canister tips alot.....and i hate designs that look like stock mufflers w/ big "tips".....Hks usually run around 700, and tanabe is not much cheaper....lemme know what u think
