no allignment necessary if they are not adjustable. are they even different than usdm??? if anything they are shorter, but i highly doubt it. better to get some adjustable upper links.

From what I can tell, they give you more rear camber. Isn't rear camber the last thing you want for the track or autox in a FWD car? When you lower your car you'll get it anyway.

Perhaps they use these on the JDM cars because the JDM ITRs have a larger rear sway. I dunno.

Why would you not want camber in the rear?

The USDM part is a stamped part and the JDM is made differently with a solid tube. I don't know why they are different. anyone?

JDM ITR's have a tighter, more defined rear suspension. Rear upper strut bar, rear upper tubular control arms, and, 23mm rear sway bar (as opposed to 22mm in USDM). These improvements mated with 16x7 wheels and 215/45 rubber make the JDM ITR a better handler and stopper.

JDM rear upper arms are a bit shorter than the USDM arms. And yeah, the JDM is not stamped pieces like the USDM.

Shorter upper arms will give you more camber in the rear. Then again, Jap spec cars always seem to set their cars up not to oversteer, which more camber in the rear would help with.

I agree with H-PIMP. The JDM upper control arm was a running change made for the 98 model year to provide better camber rigidity. When I installed King Motorsports' camber adjuster on my rear suspension (which uses spherical bearings), the increased rigidity was immediately noticable and very welcome. Mr. Ichishima of Spoon also recommends getting the 98 spec part according to an interview with him in a BM video.
