Default Atomatic Seatbelt stuck on 90 Integra LS

My buddies 90 Intergra LS, has automatic seatbelts that slide along the door jam, and just today, he opened the door after driving it, and the seatbelt grabbed him really tight, so then he close the door and turned the key the seatbelt went forward, and never came back. So now the seatbelt is stuck in the forward position, and will not come back so the shoulder harness is useless. Any suggestions on what to do to fix this? Has this happened to anyone before?
Thanks

Uh yeah it is a 1990, why would the dealer have to fix it, I we took it there, it would cost us a ton of money. So uh, I think I will pass on that one, anyone else have any suggestions, on what we should do? I like the 4 point thing and all, but this car is a daily driver.

MAASEYRACER!!!!

From what i've gathered at http://www.g2ic.com, Honda/Acura is obligated to all seatbelt repairs (minus damage caused by an accident) for the life of the car........

should be a tool in the toolkit to retract the belt to the rear. Check the 7.5a fuse under the hood.

You should be able to retract the seat belt latch back to pillar bar area if you pop open the bottom pillar cap. Same thing happened to my DA, so I just retracted it back and unplugged the seat belt sensor so that it would eliminate that annoying sound alerting you that your seatbelt isn't on.

Not a soulution, but something I have wanted to post for a while. My previous car was a 90 LS with a B16 and I had gutted it to the point of no sound deadening or anything at all. just the dash remained. I have always hated auto belts, so I figured how to use my rear seatbelts as my main belts. There are holes on the frame and B pillar that accomidate these belts.(maybe RS' ?) The end result was full functional retracting belts that were not only lighter, but extremely more comfortable than the autos.
-Sorry about the thread jack.......good luck with the repairs.
