Anybody have problem with Hytech exhaust leak
Well after about 2 hours I got the complete exhaust on Hytech header, b-pipe, and muffler they offer. Well started it up an it was making the ticking noise by the head so I figured I didnt tighten it down enough, so went ovver all the bolts again had a little trouble with the bottom right but seem to get it. Finally got to the point where I thought Imight break the bolts, and it still is ticking. Anybody have this problem?
BTW took it for a test drive it feels absolutly wonderful, pulls much harder. We'll see what the dyno says this weekend

Howsabout contacting John before posting here any; "this doesn't fit" or "that isn't working right" or "this is making a funny ticking noise?"
I'm sure he can help you better than public conjecture.

I wasnt trying to say it doesnt fit, the fit is awesome. Just thought maybe someone could tell me what to do if they have been in my shoes before.
Thanks for the heads up though

Did you go from a stock header to this header? If so that's a reason why you hear additional noise. Is it an exhaust leak, or just a ticking?
This is what I do on all of my B-series heads:
I use studs and nuts for the exhaust, rather than just two studs and 7 (?) bolts. I have never liked the bolts, too easy to strip if you overtorque them.
And you can hear the exhaust pulses much louder on a header than the stock manifold.

I always torque mine to spec as in the Honda service manual. Nothing pisses me off more than breaking a stud or rounding off a bolt. I think the torque spec on the manifold bolts are around 23 ft lbs. Also check your gasket.

Yeah acctually just a ticking, as I give it more gas thats when it starts

Get used to it, you'll hear more noises from the engine than on a cast iron stock header, that's normal. Remember that the gauge of the pipes used to build the header are much thinner than the casting on your stock header so it will be louder.
are you sure the 'ticking' noise is coming from the head?(not from slip joint?)
make sure you fully tighten the bolts at the slip joint of the header.
