Default Track car w/ cage, still need strut bars and tie bars?

Just wondering if anyone had experience running with or without strut tower bars and tie bars on a car that's already stiffened up by a full roll cage?
thanks,
Jared

I was always under the assumption that those tower/tie bars were for handling turns. I really dont think they would have an affect on straght line performance.
If anything I think most people dont run a sway bar in the front as well.....i may be wrong on that and would like more info on this. espcially since my car is not going to be a daily driver anymore and will be setup more for the track.
