ok... a while ago i got my lip painted and the price ended up being $212 including labor. i was shocked it cost this much, but i didn't know how much paint usually cost so i just paid it and said oh well. now i see the groupbuy on WW ITR lips for 275 painted and shipped!? wtf? i realize my lip is bigger than the ITR lips (mine connects right below the turn signals, not to the bottom of the stock bumper extension thing), but is that really that much of a difference? i mean, that would mean that painting the ITR lip was 75 dollars? and mine cost 212? how much should this paint have really cost me?

 

my lip cost 120 to get it painted. you got ripped.

 

he got ripped times two .... My local shop withch is mob charged me half of that

 

lets just say that i can get my entire car painted for $600

my friend payed like $50 to get his Si lip painted from black to white..i cant believe you payed over $200

A quality body shop will charge $80-150 to paint/mount a lip.

 

my family owns a body shop!!! all i have to do is pay for the paint!! i got lucky!

about the right price, one of my friend got his lip paint for 75, that's 65 if he didnt mess up spraying it with autozone paint

i got my front and rear lip painted at a honda collision center for like 3 bills

 

Got my old lip painted for $100.

 

$4.25 for a can of spray paint

 

$100 to get my lip painted

 

i got a new si spoiler off ebay that is being painted to match my car for 180 shipped.

lets just hope it matches, i gave him my paint code.

 

make sure you ask up front for a price quote and what's included (mounting, painting, clearcoat, paint, misc. parts, WARRANTY?).
Don't EVER give a shop your ride without getting a price quote beforehand. You're just bending over for it more.
It's better to learn over a small amount instead of something HUGE. But, make sure you have learned your lesson.

Then again, it could be a bad *** paint job and may have taken the guy a hell of a lot of work to install.

Let's see this $300 + dollar lip, i'll tell you if it was worth it (j/k)
