Default K20 mounts for the DC2?

I know that wholesale hyperformance has a set, but does anyone know when Hasport or other companies are going to release them? I heard first week of January for Hasport, but I haven't gotten another confirmation

I looked at the Wholesale ones...and altough the look decent, I really don't like that there are no bushings of other vibration damping features. I wonder how long they will hold out without cracking.

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks

We have successfully put a K20 into a 96 civic DX and it will be ready for the 2004 season for the Honda Challenge series in H1. Sorry no pics if you want to see the car you must come to a WCHC race in 2004 to see the car. And my car H4 will still be running the 2 year old B18a engine 148HP. Come and see us next year.

just wait until hasport or arizona racing comes out with mounts. They are gonna be much better than the ones sold on wholesalehyper. I think the tricky part is going to be the shift linkage and wiring. If u wanna c something pretty cool keep an eye out for the yellow Hondata EG thats been on the circuit.

then don't be surprised when the process of automotive evolution eats you alive. mod for mod the K-series is the better engine.

I can't wait for the influx of K-series powered EGs and DCs. Now the sky really is the limit!

Hybrid racing is almost (i believe) complete with their's. They will include a plug and play wire harness to ease the install. I agree, Honda learned alot in the 15 year B series production/racing history, and knows exactly what needed/didnt need to be changed. Evolution owns................

When this happens, we'll see "RSX Stolen" threads pop up on honda-tech.

A better engine ? I am so sick of people claiming BETTER ENGINE for the K20 just because of inflated claimed hp gains from companies who are looking to make a buck off of RSX owners. And please do not compare a 1.8 liter engine thats makes 200 hp and revs into the mid 8s, with an engine that needs 2 liters to make the same power with and only revs to high 7s.

Stock for stock, a GS-R is faster than the RSX s on the quarter mile, and I am not just talking garbage, I have seen this race countless times at the strip (stock for stock). So dont even go and try to compare the K20 to the c5. You go ahead and spend the $7000 or$ 8000 for a k20 swap, and I'll stick to the $ 4,000c5 swap, eat you on the quarter mile, and use the 3,000$ I saved on the swap to turn my stock c5 monster into a sub 300 hp beast, while you are still dicking around with 200 hp....

IM sorry to post-jack, but please , have some respect for the b18c5. In the world of 4 bangers, It absolutely ownz...............

A) RSX-S owns a GSR...my brother owns a S and I own a gsr...there's a NHRA sactioned drag strip about 15mins from his house and under the same conditions, stock for stock the gsr cannot hang...I can vouch for that.

B) Type S redlines at 7900 vs 8000 for the gsr...big difference(please dont get ignorant and say the gsr redlines at 8200).

C) The Type S has much much much more potential then the B18C5 does any day of the week(sorry to say it, but it does).

D) Overhyped #s??? How about a 13.9 with bolt ons(no hondata) with the seats and spare removed.

A) I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that one, because you've seen one result, and I've seen a different result.........but I'm glad you didnt say anything about beating a Type R with an RSX-S.......

B)I'm not going to say it is 8200, but I will say that it is 8100 because that is what it really is. and 2000 rpm is can be a substantial difference. Also, that tells you which engine was built to higher tolerances; if the type S was built to the same tolerances, why didnt Acura bump the redline up to 8100? Now what about 7900 to 8400....?

C)That is still marketing speculation; by no means is that a verifiable fact.

D)13.9 with bolt ons ? Wow, so I/H/E netted the same time as a JRSC on a type S ? OK everybody, screw the super chargers and turbos, we can get the same e.t by slapping on an intake/ header, and exhaust !

Now if you are referring to the JRSC as a bolt on, how many GS-R owners are under 13.9 with JRSC ? If you run a jrsc'd GS-R at 13.9, you definetely have bottlenecks in your setup..........

It's sad that we can even compare a car that has 170 hp to a car that has 200 hp.......we really should be comparing 200hp b series (type r) to a 200hp K series (type s); but, I guess that wouldnt really be too fair now would it ?

I hope you arent referring to me. Redline is at 8000(not 8200 or 8100) and fuel cut off is at 8200. If I was at my house I would take a picture of my helms manual to show you the light.

Questionable. It just means the K20's cams and head was designed to make power at a certain RPM. No point in revving to 8K+ rpms if it's going to just make more noise. Meanwhile, the B18 needs to spin that much higher to make that kind of power. Does this mean the LS1 is built w/sloppier tolerances because dang, it can't even rev to 7K.

Personally, I'd rather have more power w/less revs.

K20 in an Integra, yeah, that is dumb. If I were into modding FWD cars for straightline speed I'd stick w/a boosted B18C. But comparing the B series to the K series is silly. K is superior.

"Waah waah waaah, it's got more displacement." And that's a bad thing you say?

ps, taking a ricer argument approach, the K makes more HP per cc than the B.

A) We have a gsr and a type-s in our family (me and my mom) and my gsr cannot hang.

B)redline is virtually the same, not to mention i think RSX-S people are getting hondata and raising the limiter safety w/o internal modifications. Dont quote me on that though

C) agreed

We are comparing the GSR to its replacement the RSX-S, very reasonable argument. I think Acura probably kept the limiter at 7900 because they do not need it to rev to 8100,8200 or whatever the hell to make 200bhp

Sorry Im off topic

D)I think I saw a 14.1 w/ I/H/E and hondata

This statement is so true its scary. I hate to say it, but when mounts become widely available, i think were going to see the theft of the DC5's start to become like the DC2's. Which sucks.
