My buddy from work was wondering if the stock seats in his EP3 were made by recaro. Please get back to me w/ some responses. Thanx!

 

People have said that they are, like the DC2 ITRs and the EURO and JDM Si's.

If it's true, then the logos may have been left out for some practical reason, like licensing or theft risk or who knows.

The same is said about the steering wheel being made by MOMO.

Either way, they are definitely top-notch quality, and the Alcantra cloth is very nice.

 

they are recaro. no label isn't suprising. recaro has made seats for mercedes and porsche since the 70's and never had a logo on them. even the back seats on my 190 and our E are by recaro. don't really need to advertise, i guess.
either way, they are well-formed seats and are very comfortable.

 

Recaro designed the 88-91 Civic/CRX Si seats!

Yup, they're Recaro.

I love the 88-91 Seats as well.

Also, in my Subaru, the seats are Recaros as well, but do not say Recaro on them.

 

RSX seats are also designed by recaro

If you choose to believe internet readers over the supplier then that's up to you. I honestly don't care. They are no where near as supportive as a true SRD seat, or anything else they offer for that matter. Recaro designs a lot of seats for OEM's that don't hold the driver in well. Again, I wish I knew the real answer, but I don't really care that much.

 

this guy above me is stoopid... he is just fukin jealous that his car dont come with recaros... hahaha... if u put the ep3's chair and a recaro side by side and open em up, in the inside u will see that the are made exactly the same way with the same materials... the orange colored mesh net that supports the cushion only comes from recaro seats... well i guess he's the man since he read a posting on it... so to all the ep3 owners, i guess our seats aint recaros... or are they? well if u ever have time, compare the seats and if u doubt that they are recaros then shove em both up ur ***! well MERRY CHRISTMAS to all !

 

Does it really matter? The Si seats are pimp as hell anyways. Love my buddy's hatch seats!

who care if they are recaro are not. i got recaro seats in my hatch and the si seats feels just as great as my recaro seat
