NHRA approved IDRC approved A must have and a requirement for all import racer, *(11 second or less) This heavy duty plate steel shield provides "pro" import racers with the protection needed for today’s ultra-high output engines. We have the Deist's in stock for $180 each. They are very lightweight too and very easy to remove and install, so trans changes are quick. They are SFI 4.1 too....

Its a blanket but its lined with kevlar. Its used as a sheild, not to contain a leak. It is SFI 4.1 which passses as a shield. We used it all year long and was never questioned about it.

We have them in stock for $180....Its the trans blanket only. This is not the engine Containment system that NHRA wants on the engine, which, by the looks of it will cost over $700.

I agree with turbotypeR. The Deist fitment sucks *** and is a pain. Why? First off the two metal tabs need to be opened up to fit the stock tranny bolts, no biggie since that only takes 5sec to drill out, however now the blanket fits horrible. The straps bairly fit. If people want I will take some pictures with the blanket on a spare block and tranny. It will show the horrible fitment. I now have to sew on some extensions to the straps to allow me to latch the straps down.
Other people here say it fits fine, however everyone who has seen it on my car agree with me that the fitment isn't too great. However I have also seen some fitment problems with the metal scattershields with some block/head setups.
Also how can it take only 5sec to remove. The shiftlinkage goes through part of the tranny blankets straps so you have to remove the linkage to pull the blanket. Or you can cut the strap, however I doubt thats legal to do.

When we first used it ,ours didnt fit nicely either then we found out that the straps are not designed to just velcro on....your suposed to strap them in like a helmet. Which now there is too much strap. And as far as the removal....I was talking about getting it out of the way, not total removal(sorry i didnt explain in detail better)then you can service the slave, starter and other parts in the vacinity.... the only time we need it totaly off is when the trans needs to come out anyways...as for the tabs....we dont use them on ours but on other customers cars they work fine....
The intial setup may take longer but our enitre crew and the ones we sell them too love it.....
Cheap and light weight....and it fits the 4G63 DSMS too....
