whats the difference between a pm7 and a pg7 ecu?
Im looking for a 88-89 teg ecu and am having a bit of a prob. Im first having a hell of a time finding one, and second ive come across both a pm7 and a pg7 ecu and both claim to be from an integra? Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks,
Thanks,
PG7 is from 88-89 USDM integra.
PM7 is from an 88-91 JDM CRX Si DOHC ZC
I have a Pg7 for sale if you still need one

the PG7 is pre 90 style electronics (makes sense, sense it is from 86-89), which means you cannot chip it without replacing the entire microprocessor.
BTW, there are two types of PG7...
86-87 - vacuum advance, use in 1g crx/3g civic for D16A1 swap.
88-89 - electronic advance, use in 2g crx/4g civic for budget ZC swap.
the PM7 is 90/91 style PM6 which has an external 28 pin EPROM and can be chipped with ease
