It is making some god awefull noise... when I am going 40 and put it in 3rd to slow down, it makes some winding noise.... (same with all the gears.... ) car runs fine and strong, so I don't know.... going to the dealership next week.... I have another car to drive till then.... FUC%.

hmm...I had an input shaft bearing take a **** on me.It had similar symtoms...

 

was it covered under warrenty? I have 30,200 miles on my car... cat-back exhuast... that's it.
it's a 2000 ITR.

I am kinda worried about getting screwed with the bill.

 

have you checked the fluid level?

 

They should pick up the bill.The tranny I belive goes under the 4 year 50,000 warrenty,I belive the clutch is like 12,000.Good luck

 

I checked the level when (and a week after) I changed to redline Trans Fluid. My car is fucked!

Also, the ****** is burning oil... Changed that 3 weeks ago and now it is at the low dot.... that is not good...... the worst part about the oil situation is I have been driving my ITR only 1/2 the time... I just bought a beater... Nissan Se-r..... I have been driving that thing 1/2 the time......

WTF?

I'll just go to the dealer and pull some scary *** pissed off indian **** on them.. J/K

Problem is most likely that redline fluid you are using.
Go back to Honda MTL.

 

I thought it might be the Redline fluid... It was making some noise before I made the switch though.... so I don't think it is the fluid... Who knows though, I am taking it to the dealership on Wednesday or thursday... we'll see.

The trans will make some noise. But use redline and it gets REAL loud.

 

thanks for the advice, I will try draining it and refilling it with the regular honda stuff before I take it to the dealership.
