Yeah, Gregg has ran 10.02 in his EK Type-R turbo'd Civic. Every year he is at HIN and Import Revolution with it claiming to be the fastest Honda in the area.

I ran a 12.8 All Motor, on street tires, and though the exhaust in my 94 Civic.

10.02 in a full race hatchback seems kinda slow to me

there some ballers claming this and that around here but when they all go to the track the clocks shut them up pretty quick.

Len Ayala @ the chill factory. 11.20 @ 128 in a daily driven neon without nitrous. Very impressive car. Drives like a stocker.

http://www.chillfactory.us

PS. It dyno'd 600whp on nitrous. I wonder what it would run.

It's sitting at HRC collecting dust. Len has his own company now and will be running in the sport FWD class. HRC has backing from GM is campaining a cav this year.

Well wherever hes shipping the stuff too needs to ship him a drivers manual then, because 10.05 in a racecar needs work. Sorry to say

Len Ayala is a nice guy. At one of the last GLD events I went to, he ran 11.70's with that blue neon. I haven't seen him run 11.20's with it, but I wouldn't doubt Len. The car is driven to and from the track.

Gregg's Gold EK hasn't hit nines yet, but it does have way more than enough HP to hit nines. The car is making a lot more horsepower than it was last year and he keeps breaking trannies. The car ran better when it had way less horsepower.

Illinois doesn't have a lot of fast front wheel drives, but we do have a lot of guys that love to race. If you go to the local races, the quick 16 is made up of the same cars at each event and we're pretty dedicated to the sport. Just about every FWD car in the quick 16(except the Driver's image hatch) is driven to and from the track and are daily drivers.

Len was probably the fastest in his black neon.

Isn't there a blond gyrl named Stephanie from Chicago with a stroked Civic that ran 10's?

There is a shop called Sangamon Valley Sports Compacts (compact-tuner on here) in the Decatur area that has a full out race car that has supposely hit 9's but not in competition. They just built it and are working out some bugs I think. He's said they've ran in the 10's. He'll probably see 9's this coming year if they get it together.

There really aren't that many imports running 10's in IL. It's pretty rare to see a full race fwd car at the strip besides the Drivers Image EK. Maybe a certain blue CRX will beat it if that thing ever get's completed.

well ive seen Beeyondengineering.com civic run 10sec but im not sure if its from CHI-town or Wisconsin. I also heard he run all the time at Great Lake but that last time i was there its just the same car running all the time and pretty much Driver IMage is the fastest import there.

Bee is from Wisconsin and he is pretty much the most consistent 10sec. car at GLD. He's hit 10.40's in that hatch and he is the fastest all the time at GLD, not Driver's image.

Ron, I spoke with Stephanie a little while back and she told me she hit a best of 10.70 in that car. I know that car was faster than that, but she had major traction issues. Her car was a blue SI street car.
