I am looking to lower my RSX type s to give it a little bit more of an aggresive stance. I am 18 years old and in school so I don't have the money for a full coilover kit right now. I am looking for a good set of springs that give a nice mild drop between 1.5"-2" nothing lower then that. I also want it to not be bouncy and a rough ride. Which springs would you recomend I get. Also if someone has a picture of there RSX with just a spring set up on it that would be great.

 

Goldlines fit your description exactly, plus they're a little cheaper than the bigger brands. I've had them for almost 2 years and am still very happy with the ride quality and look.

Well if you want a decent drop with a nice ride I would recommend the Tein S.tech, or luxury master. Both offer a good ride, with a nice drop. They average between 1-2 inch drop. Plus they are very affordable. You may want to pm tsunamiITR and ask him about the Tein s.tech. Good luck bro

 

heres a couple of recent pics of my rsx on eibach sportline, i believe the drop is 1.75 all around (not quite sure) the ride is and 8 outta 10 in my book, i had h&r sport springs before which i hated, drop and ride was horrible. i paid 185 for my sportlines. the car might look lower then normal due to my tire size being thinner, im on 215/45/16 falken azenis

I agree, the cars on the Goldlines look great. And the spring rates are decently compatible w/ stock shocks, if that's the route you choose.

 

Im thinking the gold-lines now. Where can I buy them at? Also would ride quality be different with the two different versions. I think I want to go with the lower 1's the 1.75" drop. Would I have bad camber wear on my tires or would it be pretty resonable? thanks

 

I wouldn't get the Tein springs, they are great springs but suck with the factory struts. If I could do it again I would get some Eibachs...I have had them on two other Civics and they ride great with the factory struts and did not need to have camber kist as well.

i had sportlines with the progress tiebar/sway bar combo and the ride was somewhat bouncy...not what i expected from Eibach

goldlines are the ****. anti sag warranty smooth not to harsh ride i love mine

yes i forgot to mention that the clubrsx springs are made by goldline. my bad.

 

just as important are the shocks
most ppl neglect this

lowering spring on stock shocks won't be nearly as good as with some aftermarket like koni yellow

this is true but with the goldlines there is no need to get new shocks.

you may not NEED new shock
but i guarantee you it will handle a lot better, and have a better ride quality with an adjustable shock like the koni yellows

 

The Goldline springs are specifically designed to work well with the stock dampers, you can email and ask them about it, they provide excellent customer service.

So far the Koni's for RSX have turned out to be crap. KYB GR2's and AGX's should be out early '04.

there's no disagreement that an after market shock will outperform the stock ones but like rsxmachine said they're (goldlines) specifically designed for the dc5 stock shocks. i had koni yellows back in the day on my civic and they were pretty damn impresive. all i've been hearing about the koni's for the dc5 is that they suck but i couldn't tell u without driving on them myself.
