Default How is this sub/amp combo?

I was wondering if this would be a sub/amp combo. For an amp I was considering the fosgate 551s and thats the power line not the punch if that makes a difference. For subs I was considering 2 fosgate HEs or Infinity Perfects. Any other suggestions on better equipment. Also who make the best quality capacitor?

your 551s is rated to produce 550 watts into a 4 ohm load, assuming that you choose your speakers correctly. Your best bet is to get 2 8ohm subs and wire them in parallel (it is better for subs to be wired parallel than series - it presents less resistance to the amp = more power) But you should be very happy with either the HE's or the perfects. As for the the capacitor, if you get a 1 farad capacitor (slightly oversized for this application, but more is better here) you will not notice a difference between the worst quality and the best quality as far as performance goes. However, if you just want to get a great one, look for the lowest ESR rating that you can find. Otherwise, buy the one that you think looks the hottest!
