Lets say ur reving your car at a constant 2,500 rpm for about a min or so. You let off the gas compeltly and you watch the rpms fall to zero. What would you look for first? Bad idle valve? fuel pump?

I took my car to Honda to have the timming belt, auto-shitoner and the balancer belt replaced. Every since that day the car will die out like your described once in a while. So, for me at least, it might be related to not setting the balancer in timming with everything else.

In a few weeks im gonna be replacing basically everything honda replaced cause it all went bad again. (In less than a year). So ill be making sure everything is done right, ill see if that fixes the problem.

It wont hurt. I know if your crank/cams/balancer are not at TDC. Its gonna run/idle like crap. Im pretty sure thats my problem. The tech who did my timming work didnt make sure the the crank and cams were at TDC along with aligning the rer balancer.

Silly rabbits

hmm well it does idle pretty high (near 2k rpm) when it's cold, but once it warms up (10 minutes) it drops to normal idle. I was trying to run the engine like i was driving it, 2-3k constant to try to break it in. It dropped off twice and i decided to stop trying it after that.

Your car will always idle high when cold. Anywhere from 1500-2000RPM is normal. But after the car warms up, idle should be around 700 +- 50RPM. Its the vibration at idle that i feel that lets me to believe the balancer was not set properly.

Have you had any timming belt, auto tensioner work done lately?

well it's not in my lude. I most honda engines will experiance similar problems. Since the legend forum doesn't get much attention I figured posting here would get some positive results.

What should I do to my idle control vavle? I think I read somewhere that you can adjust it?

o and i'm sorry for fooling u to make u think it was my lude. I just wanted some info
