when did ALL G3 integras in Japan switch to the "JDM" front...i know they had four eyes for a couple years...but what year did ALL G3's switch to the "JDM" front end?

I think it was late 95 when the first R came out...........Yes, the first ITR came out in 95.....just after the NSX R (NOT TYPE R, There was no TYPE R NSX). Check out Best Motoring....."Honda introduced its Integra Type R in 1995"

 

Yes there was. 94-95. Lighter and faster just like ours. The first Honda to wear the red badge

 

It was the 96 Model that came out in late 95, same way we get 2002 models in late 2001

I'm pretty sure it was the S600 (spiritual predecesor to the S2000) back in the 60s?

Yep you are correct. The s600 came with red badges. Friend of mine went to Vietnam last summer and took a picture of the s600 for me.

 

Didn't some of the late 70's Civic CVCC's have red badges too?

 

NSX R = NSX Type-R
Same way ITR is called Integra R
Then later on The R was replaced by the S since they decided to name
all their "upper models" with S instead of R like the prelude,cl and tl.
