lol, u my friend have not researched. there are a good number of high 300 and low 400 hp hondas, ecspecially on this board. so dont discourage him and try to burst his bubble.

but i would have to agree it is not going to be "easy" but it is deff a goal u can reach.

lastly i dont think u have done enough research on forced induction, feel free to prove me wrong by listing the setup u planned on going with to reach your 400 hp goal

o and good luck

By your post it is obvious you have done your research. You don't need our help.

Besides, for 400hp, all you need is a 350 shot of nitrous and good luck.

i hope u are being sarcastic, all he said is he plans on "turbo and low compression", and that he "has done research".

if he would list the turbo he planned on using, the a/r, the manifold he planned on using, or specs about his bottom end setup then i would agree with u. but, based on what i have seen i think he has some to learn.

here are some hints:

manifolds: full race, lovefab
turbo: sc61, 60-1
wastegate: tial
sleeves: aebs, ge, darton etc....

also look for flow charts on cylinder heads, cam specs, and compresor maps. sry i cant help more, but its late i am tired

o yea, hondata and finding a good tunner would be some other things to check into. now i am really going to sleep

Wouldnt it have been easier and cheaper to get a mustang 5.0 and start there? Not to sound pragmatic here but getting 400hp out of a 140hp b18b engine seems a bit much.

Tg, name some of the steps your going to take and the parts your going to use for this project. I mean 400 hp is going to be tough, and its going to cost you alot of money. You can get 260 off the bat with a descent turbo. The other 140 hp will basically be off bolt ons accesories and internal engine work. Probably some real serious work. Be more descriptive. Than aftyer you name some stuff, well put out input on things. Also, there is plenty of info on this kind of stuff. Go into forced induction and all motor to look at some otherpeoples setups. Also check signatures, alot of them place there spec's for there car and the amount of hp there getting

i know their are a good amount of people with big hp numbers from lsturbo setups but 400+hp isn't going to be easy it going to take a lot of $$$
a pretty big snail
nicely built motor
and lot o boost
i am not saying this is all you need but it will take this
p.s. their is a guy here in S.A. tx w/ an lsturbo in a EK claiming 500hp an 490tq fully built and like 26lbs don't quote me but i have heard this from like 3 different people
p.s.s. sorry i am not trying to discourage you but it is not going to be "easy" but good luck just make good choices use your $ wisely and choose your setup wisely

Search through forced induction or ask the question there. Also, its going to cost a good amount of money, but I am sure you are aware of that. You can find all the parts you'll want/need online in the forced induction forum (Arturbo, Flamenco-t, Ben at Importparts, Tinker219, etc). There are plenty of good guys that will help you reach your goal. You definately need to look at all the best selections and go from there. Goodluck and if you have the money it will be done no problem......

i had a video of a civic with some red-topped engine (not sure if the prelude or accord had a red top) that made over 700hp doing a very scary dyno run. 700hp + fwd... why?
