Default DOHC Carbed motor - need help finding one

I'm not sure what the engine code is, some people call it a carbed ZC, some call it an EW. I don't remeber what it is i just want one. Just picked up an 87 DX for a meer $600. This car is mint, no cracks in the fenders or front panel, no rust, new tires and new tint job. But this stock motor has got to go, for the love of god i could outrun this thing on foot. But i'm not going through the hassle and extreme amount of work to switch it to FI, it's just my daily driver. I live in MI so i'd prefer something i could go get, most likely in Canada. But i'll consider pretty much anything. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated.

The zc is not refered to as an ew. The ew is nothing more than the first d series engine.

yeah i know a ZC isn't an EW, that wasn't the question at hand. I wanted to know the engine code for the DOHC carbed motor and wherei can find one, cause i've haven't found one in a month of searchin. So if you don't have any relavent info that i asked for, don't post.

I stated a fact. I don't know the engine code for a dual carb zc, I'm pretty sure its just 'zc' seeing that its a jdm engine. They are rare, I believe they came in the integra rx/zx. Best place to look would be http://www.redpepperracing.com .

yup , been there done that. i've been living on Redpepper trying to find one. I've e-mailed about 20 engine places, no one has it. Just hoping someone either has one lying around or knows of a place.

I'd just give in and get a dohc d16 and slap my own carb setup on it.

That's what i'll probably do, i just wanted to keep my cost down because it's just a daily driver. Most of my cash goes into my turbo'd civic. A nice carb setup isn't cheap. Then tuning it is such a *****.

I understand that, I'm converting to fuel injection on my dx pretty much all I lack is the fuel system. I've got all the electronics. Wasn't someone on redpepperracing selling a twm manifold for a d16?
