i can get a great deal on a full cat back magnaflow exhaust system for my si (friend's dad's part supplier company is carrying magnaflow now). just wondering if anyone has any impressions on this kit? anyone use it/heard it/heard about it/seen any dynos, etc.

 

i regret getting magnaflow on my rsx. its a little louder then i would like but i dont like the fact that the crome is fadeing to brown

fading to brown is no good. what about power gains? decent, at least when compared to other systems? thanks for the input

 

The magnaflow looks really nice on the EP. It has a deep low tone to it, but it was a little too loud for my taste. But then again, I only like the stock muffler. I hear it gets more quiet over time though.

 

the brown will go away with some chrome polish, like blue magic or mothers...

 

i have the magnaflow on my ep. I like it as well but it is a bit loud, but i guess you have to expect that with any exhaust. I have had it for over a month now and i have gotten used to it. Buti really like it. Cant beat the price for it

 

I don't like the way any magnaflow sounds on any car..

 

i think its about a 6 hp gain im not sure. you are right though about the price i got it for $350 shipped from a gb.

They are stainless steel, not chrome. If it was chrome, and it turned brown, it would be lousy plating. Browning stainless is common.

 

i have one on my ek i wanna get rid of it planning to get an s2k exhaust or maybe g35

 

stainless will eventuallt turn brown from heat.

 

does ne 1 know how much the magnaflow catback weighs
i heard it was like 70 ilbs

It is nowhere near 70 lbs. It is lighter than the stock exhaust.

 

i think it said 28lbs on the box when it came in the mail
