Clutch engagement problem..
Car: 90 DA
Hey guys, i was sitting there driving last night and went to shift gears and push the clutch pedal in, but when i was letting it back out, it caught right at the bottom and the clutch engaged. So i continued to drive, and the next time i went to shift, the pedal basically dropped to the floor and the clutch would disengage in the bottom inch. Its almost reverse of what it use to be. What happened? since its a cable clutch, did an adjustment go out of whack or what? Thanks a ton.

Check cable adjustment. It might have been adjusted improperly or the cable itself might be the culprit.
Throttle cables tend to stick when they age, I don't see why a clutch cable can't.

alright, thanks len. Over the day its just gotten progressively worse, now its hard as hell to even put it in gear, that makes me think that something is slipping gradually with every clutch push, like the cable. thanks again.

If you check the cable and replace it and everything comes out alright. You might have to inspect to see if the pressure plate is not broken.

Change your Cable first! I would also look into getting a new clutch. I was having problems myself and it was the clutch disk, a little piece of metal broke off and was causing shifting problems and clutch problems. Clutch cables stretch so it might just have to be tightened
