Default Side mirror phucked....ideas? I'm not about to pay $400 for a mirror

Due to unforeseen circumstances, my passenger side mirror got pwned. A lil bit ago I went to the Acura dealership to get a price quote...they told me $390 for parts and labor. I don't know much about mirrors..(or much about anything really ) but 400 is RIDICULOUS. I'd rather tape a plastic mirror to it and get a comptech header wit my 4 billz, damn.

SO! 400 isn't really a reasonable price is it? And what options do I have? I think there's enough junkyards and tutorials that I could just install it myself, but then won't the power-function not work? It's not really a big deal, just asking.

HELP! What do I do? What are my options, and how much do they cost?

they are easy to install. if you pry off teh cover(inside of car) you will see 3 bolts (from what i remember), remove these bolts and the mirror assembly comes right off. the power wire is just plug and play.
now, trying to find one may be tricky. does it have to be the exast color?
try a junkyard, if not call acura and just ask how much the part is by itself

yep, order the part from acura...im guessing like 90 bucks guys? paint it, and install it yourself. 400? you can get some shocks or an exhaust for that price

I have an extra G3 power passenger mirror in gray that i can sell. $40 plus shipping. It came off a 95 teg which was upgraded to m3' mirrors. screws and wiring all intact.

Just wear from from being on the car a few years, no cracks at all.

Sheeeit, I'd rather just get some Spoon non-powered mirrors. The authentic ones are only like $250 or you could get some knock-offs from eBay for like $50-$60. They look very clean as well

When i was recently hit by a deer(yes, you didnt read that wrong, the deer HIT me), it completely tore my drivers side door to pieces, including shattering the glass of the mirror, breaking my drivers side window, putting numerous dents all down the side of my car, and ripping my power antenna off my DA. Anyways, after calling around, i found a complete door with window, power mirror with the glass in it, and complete interior for $250. I should hope you dont pay $400 for just the mirror.

I bought some Poon mirrors for my G3 and they look really good. The mirror glass is tinted slightly blue, and the line of sight is pretty good. Not to mention, they fit well.

That could be an option.....

Get TYC Elegante mirrors for $150 a pair (power), and put them on yourself. It's not hard at all.

Autodynamic is selling powered TYC Spoon-style mirrors for $70/pair, for Integras, plugs right into factory harness, and made just for LHD.

damn, Car-part.com wants like 100-150 for one mirror damn. I was gonna say go that way, but damn, 100+ for a Jyard mirror. DAMN.

my Hood for my DA was only 45 bucks lol. I was geeked when I heard that, it had "hail damage" but it was only paint damage and one ding thats barely noticeable. I wish I could find a full front bumper with metal for that much.
