Default JDM oem 4-1 header to USDM cat-back question.

I know its here but I'm lazy and the quick search did not tell me the answer

From the JDM 4-1 to the USDM cat back, How long does the test pipe have to be?

Simple huh?

thanks.

No thanks, I'd rather run a test pipe then have a carsound rattle brake and die on me.

unless this is a race only car please don't run a test pipe and kill the environment

I just needed to get the size so I stated test pipe for simplicity.

I measured my carsound and it was 17". I bought a T1R testpipe and it measured 17.5". I was worried the T1R wouldn't fit, but It actuallty fits better than the carsound. My carsound didn't fall apart. I ran it with a Mugen N1 ecu for a month or so. All I can say is REMOVE the heat sheilds on the Carsound before you install it. This will save you time in the long run.

The Renault used by Hytech is supposed to last 100000 miles, it's not the cheapest though.
