After-market, legal bolt-ons...CARB?
Ok...I just thought I would throw a thread together that would list all legal bolt-on after-market parts that are CARB certified for Integras.

I don't intend to start a "This certain part is better than that part" type of thread.
If anyone can think of anything, please feel free to respond/add, and I will update the list.
I didn't list exhausts because there is no CARB status that is given to them...so it doesn't really matter.
The reason that I am doing this is so that I will have a master list to refer newbies too.
Thanks for everyones help.

Exhausts do not affect emissions so none of them are technically carb legal. They have to be under a certain DB though.

Exhausts have nothing to do w/ CARB
There are noise limits
I got ticketed for "loud muffler" with a GReddy EVO
No such thing as a street legal exhaust - if it is *bling* you're gonna get popped for it

i think honda tunning this month had a whole section on what is legal and what isn legal
I know one of the the things that caught my eye was all exhaust are legal for emissions; what isnt legal about them is the sound......

Theoretically...it should. The reason that these parts got CARB certification was because, in theory, they would not increase smog emissions. Right?
In reality, I don't know. I haven't done any scientific testing to prove that all these parts together would allow a GS-R to pass smog or not.
The only reason that I started this thread is so that we could have some type of reference to go back to when newbies ask what "after-market, bolt-on parts" are CARB certified.

I checked the website, and I have the magazine for this month...the orange S2000 on the front. Read the whole magazine from cover to cover. Where did you see the "section" on what is legal, and what is not?

A part being 'CARB legal' is debatable. I know, for example, that Carsound Catalytic Converters are CARB legal....for about a year. After a year, they won't pass emissions...

Thanks for your input. Since I have never used a Carsound Catalytic Convertor, I would have never really know that. But because of your input, any newbie who reads this post in the future will be greatly indebted to you. Thanks.

maybe he got confused. import tuner .. the last issue (nov or dec, i think) had a section that named off carb legal parts.. didn't mention the not legal ones though.

Does anyone have that issue so that we could update the list? Remember, I am creating this for future newbie reference...thanks!
