tell me what you guys think...
I just wrecked my civic and I'm looking for a crx 88-91. I found an hf for like 1200 and it is perfect except for the rust on the hood and front bumper has a crack...which i plan on replacing with cf sir hood and a certifite bumper... I mean this car is ******* clean even the original paint looks good. The radiator support is fucked up too but I can fix that. I'm putting in my small dual core del sol radiator. So that is no big deal. Here is my delema. I have a b18c1 (usdm) engine and I'm going to put it into the crx since the civic is wrecked. I figure I'll buy a hasport mount kit for cable and I can buy a 90-93 integra tranny for like 250 that guarenteed not to grind. My concerns are can i use the hf spindles? Summary is below
hasport mount kit w shift linkage 599
rear bracket 65
driver side bracket 65
custom axles for project 399
1989 CRX HF 1200
Hasport crx hf/si to gsr harness 95
hasport crx hf/si to vtec harness 75
integra 90-93 transmission ls 250
quaife lsd for 90-93 integra 795
sir cf hood 400
total is $3943 for a complete b18c crx with a ls tranny lsd...now is it worth it and do you guys know where to get any of this cheaper....let me know

he is right..
the reason.
the HF axles is much smaller on the hub end...so the axles you would use for the swap will not fit into the hubs....even if they did..you would most likely snap them within a week..

i would look around a bit, you should be able to find the mounting kit a bit cheaper than that. i bought mine for 480 from a guy on ebay. don't remember the name otherwise i would give it to you.

I have a set off of a 91 CRX Si that would work for you. Check my Sig for a link to my FS thread.

You might want to rethink about the tranny department unless you plan on going turbo with the ls tranny. You can probably get a b16a trans with a lsd already for alot cheaper then $1100. You might be able to find a type-r trans for that much. Oh yeah and if you have a shop install the lsd for you its going to probably cost and extra $200-400, thats and estimate it might be more. Just something to think about.
