I've seen a few R's with carbon fiber hoods..any positive feedbacks from those who has CF hoods? I'm consider NorthWest Bodykits CF hood, construction looks very nice, and quality looks exceptional. But the price of 525 found on GBC.com is a lil out of my league. other considerations are FI, JDP.com, sunnies..
any recommendations?

i had a friend help me take off the stock hood and hold up the c/f one. i think i need to realign it, the gap is a bit wide on the passenger side.

 

I have seen a lot of c/f hoods that are yellowing due to the sun, has anyone else experienced this?

 

If they're clear-coated, the gel coat won't turn yellow.

 

We have tried to clear coat small c/f pieces before and they pinholed real bad.

yellow blur: the fittage of that hood looks excellent. Which of jhp's brands is it? Also, how much does it weigh?

 

jhp.com carries sunny styling, fiber images, and their own brand. i purchased jhp.com's own in house hood. i was not able to weigh the hood before i put it on but let me tell you, it's very light weight, and very nice construction.
