I think either way you are going with a good sleeve. Like I said on the phone there are +/- for both which sucks when making a decision. I'm glad I didn't have to make this decision back when I resleeved (January or February). Let me know what you decide.

probably cuz they cam out, what, like 1-2 months ago if that. That not really long enough to get a solid answer. There sleeves LOOK sick and the design sounds good. I dont think I'd get them for the same reason I wouldnt buy a car the first year it was made. Gotta work the bugs out. I cant wait to hear from the users in the next 4-5 months. Thats my 2cents, retarded or not

Yeah, NUMEROUS THREADS on a product that's just been released. Gotta love newbs telling you to search. It's kinda like the dad beats kid, kid grows up to dad, dad beats kid theory. He probably got flamed when he was new, so how he says "SEARCH!!!" whenever he can.

Good topic. I'm personally leaning towards Benson, because the lack of horror stories I've heard.

Horror stories you have heard since Benson (I forget his first name) started resleeving all the blocks. It wasn't like that when he had bad employees. A good move was when he fired him.

You are pretty ignorant man, don't start calling people out because you think you know so much. obviously the only info you are going to get about the new HD sleeves is what GE posted in the thread i listed below. Try not to jump on people, and i still gave him help I didnt just say search i also told him what i was going to use. Oh and by the way i have been a member here twice as long as you, and thats not counting how long i was a guest before i signed up! Have a nice day
Yeah Ok I am a noob. I am pretty sure i have been on here a few years. Anyways if you searched you would have found the 4 page thread in the sponsor marketplace on the sleeves!!! How about that, unbelievable huh? Anyways the Bensons are good and many people will vouch for them as well as others will vouch for the old GEM Godzilla sleeves. The new sleeves are upgraded over the others.

Oh and here is the thread about the NEW GE BLOCKS: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=678640

Well it hasnt been covered numerous times. There is one thread like you pointed out. There really isnt alot of solid info on theses since they just came out. The disgn looks alot better than the Godzilla design. Id wait to what people think of them 1st. You cant just go on looks alone.

Yeah i was saying basically do your research on Benson and if GE has none than do what he pleases...people want to jump on me like he is only allowed to search for the GE threads, I was also referring to Benson threads. If he is going to chose one he obviously needs to research on all his options if he is that worried

i am in the process of picking golden eagle or bensons. the only thing i didnt like when i talked to golden eagle is that they cannot make any promises about throwing off your align bore, and with how much of the stock sleeve they remove it seems like it could lead up to a problem. it kinda worries me in my decision. i really wish they offered some sort of alignment bore check to ensure u that u get the same quality block back that u originally sent. the guy i talked to on the phone from GEM didnt really leave me too enthuised when i hung up with him, thats the main reason im leaning towards benson's as of now. just my $.02

are you sure they dont offer line boring at GE? If not you can have it done at just about any other machine shop. Go with whatever let you sleep at night

I just got this block back from GE, I think it's one of the first HD sleeve setups released to the public. It's for an all motor setup, but thought I'd post the pic.

They offer an align bore but they don't guarantee their align bore from what he said.

when i was deciding what company to go with it was easy for me. I called up GE and the guy was kinda an *******. Very quick with me and like i didnt mean **** to him....little does he know i am now sending it to EARl for the benson's. But as far as quality goes im sure there HD's are vert good. Its just the guy i talked to on the phone i guess didnt take me seriously, treated me kind shity, so now someone else gets my 3000. good luck with your dec.

that sucks. Vince is always a pretty pleasent guy on here. . . they should have him answer the phone if others people are being asses and pissing their business away for them. I like GE a lot . . . thats too bad.

As for the line boring, just check it when you get it back from GE and save yourself some $. All it takes is a precision straight-edge and some feeler gauges.

I apologize to anyone who feels like they were rushed off of the phone or that we didn't completely satisfy your customer service needs. Please PM me and let me know who you spoke with and I will deal with it accordingly. As for the new design, we have tested it for quite some time now. It has proven itself in every areana : performance, reliability, longevity, strength and cost. They are a little more expensive for us to make, but we kept our pricing the same to pass on a quality product to you guys. You will see more and more HD blocks out there in 2004. They really are the best block design in our opinion.

its like this with car dealerships, they see a kid and figure he's just another punk. Little do they know how much $ u got etc. This happend to me, so I went to another dealership and gave someone else the sale whom was respectful and didnt judge me by my age.

Yea i agree, ive learned to just keep searching and find someone that will respect you regardless. Im not bashing GE ive generaly had good expierence buying small things from them (oil block adapt, cam seal, vac mani) but when it comes to 3000 i dont want to feel rushed, and feel like im bothering someone. Do they care that they lost a customer, who knows, but i'm not dealing with someone that doesnt care to take the time to listen.

But ill say it again the quality looks impressive, the staff........

My .02
