My uncles 96 accord's licnese plate lights are out even after a fuse check and a bulb swap. I own a CRX so i'm unfamiliar with reacurring accord problems. Has anyone ever had this happen and is there another place i need to check before retracing all wiring? Where do those lights wire up to in the dash?

well the obvious place to start checking for shorts would be where the wires cross the trunk to the body since run-off would happen there...i haven't heard of this with accords though and doesn't seem to be a very persistent problem...sorry to hear this...it looks like wiring is the problem though..

 

Check the plug that goes from the trunk to the body of the car. make sure it is plugged in. It should be next to the drivers side tailight
